They liked their lives. Not everything was perfect, being the ruling family of Asgard was taxing, after all, but they liked their lives. And little Kira liked to practice using her powers whenever she could. But one body can only control so much magic, the rest of it floating off and doing what it wants without being told. Unruled magic is dangerous, and many beings from across the realms agree that there is only one way to stop the excess Kira is throwing into the universe: cut off the source.
