And now, here’s Jane defending Thor to Erik so he’ll go get him out. 🙂

Let’s be real here, the plot of this movie would go nowhere without Jane and her work and her own motivations.

Jane wanted to study the auroras in the desert, and decided to drive into the storm, so she found Thor and gave him a lift back to the town so he didn’t spend the movie wandering the desert.

Jane wanted to know what he knew about the storm he appeared in, so she went back to the hospital and gave him a place to stay, so he didn’t spend the movie locked up in one form or another.

Jane wanted the answers Thor promised her, and she wanted her research and equipment back, so she drove him out to the hammer site so he didn’t have to wander and get lost looking for it.

Jane felt compassion for Thor when he got taken into SHIELD’s lockup, so she came to convince Erik to get him out.  And he will, so Thor doesn’t end up staying in SHIELD’s prison here, or sent off to the Fridge, or who knows what else.

Jane’s motivations thus far, are “FOR SCIENCE!” and “help this guy who promised to help me”.
