Disclaimer: I haven’t read a whole lot of Darcy/Loki that I’ve out and out LOVED. Either it’s waaaay to dark subject matter for my liking or Darcy is too vulgar or Loki is too nice right away. I’m pretty picky at this point. 

A Morbid Taste for Ice by sitehound
Summary: Stumbling face-first over the frozen body of a friend on the front porch, however, is more than even mostly unflappable Darcy can handle. The obvious suspect is her mentally unstable roommate (Loki). But despite all his other faults, Darcy is certain Loki isn’t the perpetrator. And not just because she’s starting for fall for him….

Why I Loved It: This is BY FAR my favorite of the fics I’ve read. It’s got perfect in character Loki and Darcy. It’s got slow burn. There’s angst that isn’t super angst-y. If I were to write a Tasertricks fic, it would be something like this. It has a mystery and a side of romance. I haven’t found a Tasertricks fic that has sucked me in as much as this one has. Also very sad that this writer hasn’t written more.

Summary: After the events of New York Loki is angry and unapologetic, and a chance encounter with a young science intern on New Years Eve only leaves him more unbalanced. He is certain of one thing though: Darcy Lewis will be his

Why I Loved It: This is a shorter multi-chap fic, only five chapters. If it were a full fic, flushed out instead of breezing through the relationship development, then it would be HELLA! But still, it’s a truly breath-taking story. Again, a not super-fluff ball Loki. It’s mostly a Loki POV story too, which I really like. Definite smut if you enjoy that as well 😉

You Can Make Me Feel by anothersouladrift
Summary: A tumblr prompt fic with 7 interconnecting one shots.

Why I Loved It: Every good rec list probably needs some fluff/crack. This one is it. Without being too fluffy or cracky. It’s a great friends to lovers series, without being so sweet it makes your tooth ache. Plus, features Jotun!Loki.

Currently Reading: I’m still reading this one, on the second to last chapter. This is another fic that I would LOVE to be expanded and really flushed out to see more of the development of the relationship. I really do love slow burns. But it really is a good fic. And I like that it has a bit of plot, rather than being straight up romance. And OF COURSE, there is a bit in the middle where Loki becomes overly concerned for Darcy’s safety (much to his chagrin) and I’m always a sucker for the “damn-it-I-care-about-if-you-die-but-i-hate-that-i-care” trope 😉

So there’s a few…if anyone else has some recs to toss my way, I’d also love to have some!!
