Hey Everyone!!! Get ready for the Lemon Rebellion!!!
What is the Lemon Rebellion? Well, we’re glad you asked. It’s a three week long extravaganza of creativity to bring a little positive energy to our corner of the MCU fandom. Although it’s being run by Darcylanders, we are opening it up to ANYONE who wants to join in with us. Do you write Romanogers? Super, this event includes you. Stucky? Come on down! Stony? Yes. We have room for you. Winterwitch, BuckyNat, SamBucky, something that we haven’t mentioned, or the crackiest MCU ship that ever sailed? We want you to contribute too! Whatever MCU ship you ship, YOU ARE WELCOME TO PARTICIPATE!!!
Now, for all the details:
The event will run from September 10th, until September 30th. That gives everyone three weeks to join the rebellion. Posting is open during those three weeks. Post anytime until October 1st.
Any form of creativity is welcome. This includes fanfic, art, manips, gifs, photosets, playlists…whatever you do best. The only caveat is that it has to include a lemon somewhere, somehow, in some way. Now you can go old-fashioned fandom terminology with this and smut it up lemon-style, or just have a literal lemon/lemon-based product mentioned. If lemons aren’t your bag, choose another citrus fruit, we aren’t picky. Just make sure to tag whatever it is you choose to create with #lemonrebellion so everyone can find it on Tumblr and AO3. We’ve even have a collection tag on AO3 where you can post your works. You can find it here:Lemon Rebellion.
Now, maybe you want to participate in the rebellion, but don’t do the fic or art thing. That’s okay too. We have a plan for that called #sayitwithcitrus. Say it with citrus is where you get to rec a favorite MCU fic or author, any ship is welcome. Tell everyone why you love the author, and their fic. Make an author’s day, and give us all a chance to find new things to read. Just remember to tag your recs with #sayitwithcitrus and #lemonrebellion. That way we can track it on tumblr.
