It’s raining outside ☔
So I saw this earlier today and it sparked a little something:
Darcy lay curled up under the covers and watched the rain fall steadily out the window. She’d been up all night, thoughts of Loki consuming her. Was he ok? What punishment did Odin devise for him? Why the hell was Thor taking so long to come back and tell her he was ok? Why did he have to go in the first place?
She tried to distract herself and listen to her iPod but all the music seemed to hold references to Loki and so she tossed it back on the night stand. Blinking back a few frustrated tears, Darcy rolled over and turned her thoughts to the last year with Loki.
When Thor brought him back to New York City to make amends, she felt nothing but apathy towards him. Then he ended up in the lab with her and Jane and Stark. Turned out that Loki was not only hella fine and more dangerous than anyone she’d ever met, he was also highly intelligent. He was her ideal man wrapped up in leather and metal.
As time passed they fell into a pattern of debating a wide range of topics. These debates became legendary. Even Stark bowed out a time or two when things became uncomfortably heated between them. Loki never gave in and she was just as stubborn. It was only a matter of time before the sparks between them burst into flames.
As a matter of fact, their first time together was in the lab. Darcy sighed at the memory of Loki tossing her onto the desk. He’d called her a shrew even as he tossed up her skirt and yanked down her panties, promising her he’d give her something to truly scream about. She had been soaking wet for him already. The shocked look on his face was priceless and she laughed. Then he buried his face between her thighs, and kept true to his word.
Somehow a relationship began between them after that and it didn’t take long for her to fall in love with Loki. She never told him though, couldn’t because they both knew he’d be returning to Asgard. She thought that was the safe thing to do. The right thing.
Only now, her throat ached with words left unsaid and she hated it. She hated that Thor hadn’t returned yet. She hated that her worry increased with every hour that went by.
But mostly, she hated that Loki was gone and she had no clue when – or if – he would ever return.
Leaving it open for anyone who might want to pick this up and write Loki’s POV. @soothsayerstale @concavepatterns @howdidthisevenhappenanyway or anyone. 🙂
