‘Thor: Ragnarok’s Grandmaster Becomes Darryl’s Roommate in New MCU Short

insanely-smart:

We just got the full list of exciting new extras that will be included with the Thor: Ragnarok home video release, and one standout item was no doubt the reveal of the latest installment of Thor’s Marvel Cinematic Universe short series!

Chris Hemsworth has starred in two successful shorts that see Thor
become roommates with an Australian slacker named Darryl; this third
installment will see a big change-up, with Darryl looking for a new
roommate in Thor’s absence, only to get a most unexpected candidate!

Check out the official synopsis, below:

Exclusive Short/Team Darryl – Fresh off being unseated as the
ruler of Sakaar, the Grandmaster makes his way to Earth to start a new
life. It’s been over a year since Thor left Australia and Darryl has
been struggling to pay his rent. Now Darryl needs a new roommate to help
make the monthly payments. Unfortunately for Darryl, the Grandmaster
was the only one who answered Darryl’s “Roommate Needed” ad and with no
viable options, the Grandmaster moves in
.

Jeff Goldblum is a master of
comedy (and pretty much everything else acting related) so it’s going to
be a real pleasure for fans to see him once again chewing up scenery as
The Grandmaster – this time in the company of Daley Pearson’s Darryl.
The “Thor’s Roommate” shorts are on their third installment with good
reason: they’ve been some of the more entertaining shorts that Marvel
has put out. This one seems like icing on the cake.

Thor: Ragnarok hits digital on February 20th, and DVD/Blu-ray on March 6th. Avengers: Infinity War opens in theaters on May 4, 2018. Other upcoming Marvel Cinematic Universe

Fell asleep on the couch with you and suddenly I’m having feelings…

dresupi:

Pairing:  Darcy Lewis/Loki
For:  @whyndancer

Darcy woke up before she opened her eyes.  There was a heavy weight on her shoulder and she groped blindly to figure out what it was.

And it wasn’t until her fingers got caught in Loki’s hair and he grumbled that she fully understood what had happened.

Her eyes flew open and she came face to face with the god of mischief.  Face to face with Loki.  And she hadn’t even brushed her teeth yet.

She covered her mouth with her hand.  “What are you still doing here?” she asked, her voice muffled.

“I fell asleep… you feel asleep.  Neither of us moved afterwards…”  He smirked and she noted not even the slightest whiff of morning breath.  Which definitely wasn’t fair.  “Would you like me to go now?”

“Uh…”

That was a loaded question if there ever was one.  And she must have been taking too long in answering it, because he pushed up slightly, straightening his back and rising to his feet.  “While you’re thinking it over, I’ll make you some coffee.  You like coffee, don’t you, Darcy?”

“Uh…”

“I’m two for two with impossible questions, it would seem…” he chuckled softly. “Let’s try another.  Where do you keep your coffee mugs?”

“Uh…”

“That’s alright, I’ll manage…”

Loki had slept over.  He was making her coffee.  He was rummaging around in her kitchen cabinets.

And the weirdest thing about all of it was that she wasn’t bothered in the slightest.

Huh.

So I was on tvtropes and was reading the page for the Iron Man movies, and someone had put on there that Dummy was one of the first robots Tony had ever built. And I went back and watched those opening scenes again, when they’re doing that profile of Tony and mention him graduating from MIT at 17, and sure enough it’s Dummy that he’s pictured with in that magazine article. I don’t know how I missed it the first ten times I watched this movie.

And then there go all my feels, because he might tell Dummy he’s useless all the time but he still kept him even though it’s been like 20 years since Tony built him and he’s had to have come up with a hundred better designs for him by now but he hasn’t scrapped him, just made various attachments for him so he can use him all the time, even for putting together his Iron Man suit. And then Dummy goes and saves his life. So yeah all my feels for Tony and his robots :’)
