It was a warm summer night. A warm summer wedding night to be exact. Between her best friend and the man â no, the God who fell from the sky. Darcy smiled at the thought and at the memory of those two first smashing encounter.
Never in a million years would she think that would ever happen, both the wedding and the change the groom brought to the world as humanity knew it. Alas here she was. In Asgard, drinking Asgardian liquor from a fancy goblet, wearing her own Asgardian gown, witnessing the impossible happened before her eyes.
Pairing: Darcy Lewis/Loki Prompt: Â #12. âDid you just land on my balcony?â
He was reading when he heard her land. Â Or fall, rather. Â
There was a sickening splat of skin meeting concrete and then a muffled groan.
He set his book on the coffee table and got up to peer out onto his balcony. Â
âMs. Lewis?â he asked, a bit bewildered to see his upstairs neighbor outside his window.  "Are you alright?  Did you just⌠land on my balcony?â Â
“Fell, actuallyâŚâ she said with a groan, rolling to a seated position and cradling her left wrist.  "I was hanging some holiday lights and slipped.â Â
He sighed closed his eyes for a few seconds. Â There hadnât been a dull moment for him since Ms. Lewis had moved in upstairs. Â
First off, she owned a rather large dog that thundered around the apartment when excited, and it was easily excitable, given the amount of thundering that occurred. She decorated her balcony in ways that made him visibly cringe. Â These holiday lights would prove to be no different, he was certain. Â
But for all her faults, she was one of the better individuals to move into this building. Â She found out when he came down with a cold a few months prior and brought him hot chicken soup from a deli on her way home from work. Â She also spoke up on his behalf to the tenants committee when he was summoned for missing a few too many meetings. Â
It was only fair that he return the favor now. Â Â
Loki climbed out of his window onto the balcony and knelt down beside her, reaching for the arm she was favoring. Â "Let me have a look.â Â
âItâs fine. Â I donât think itâs broken. Â Probably just sprained or something.â Â
âIndeed, but itâs better to be safe than sorry. Â Allow me to accompany you to the hospital?â
She exhaled slowly, but nodded. Â "Yeah, okay. I honestly think my pride is hurt more than my wrist.â
"Well, after the hospital, Iâll take you out for a drink. Will that help?â Â
She shrugged.
âAnd, I suppose I can tell you about the first and only time I rode a jet-ski. Â But that story stays between us, Ms. Lewis.â Â
âDarcy,â Â she corrected, allowing him to help her to her feet. Â "And I hope there are pictures.â Â
Iâm really surprised no oneâs mentioned this yet. Thanos has a reputation for taking vulnerable youths and twisting them to become his weapons. The people he considers his âdaughtersâ were tortured and manipulated into carrying out his orders. In Avengers, Loki is clearly in the same boat. Heâs been tortured into obedience. Itâs a recurring tactic Thanos uses to gain allies.
IveâŚ.mentioned it many times lolâŚ.. check my meta tagâŚ..
