In fanfiction there is a difference between being a good writer and a popular writer.
Just
because you can write a well-structured story with dynamic and consistent writing and characters doesn’t mean you will be popular. And sometimes
stories that have disorganized plots, mediocre writing, and/or OOC characters will be held up as
the greatest things to ever exist.
Just because your writing isn’t
popular doesn’t mean you are a bad writer. Don’t ever compromise who
you are, who your characters are, your plot, your writing style, anything for the sake of readership.
There are popular writers everywhere.
But there are only so many good writers.
Listen. Master of the Universe aka Fifty Shades of Shite was not just the most popular fic in the Twilight fandom, I think it remains the most read/reviewed of ANY fandom. Quite often scum rises to the top.
If you enjoy what your writing and believe in it, it doesn’t matter how many people are reading it. That one person who always comments? You probably make their day a little happier every time they get the notification email of a new chapter. Write for yourself and the people who live what you do, no matter how small a crowd it may be.
I’ve to say that after watching this, I wanna watch a Loki spin-off with Darcy ( or a fic of Tasertricks adventures ).They fits the movie perfectly, even in this fanvid, Darcy was meant to be a cameo, but in the end she shines on her own.
