lifelover1989 prompted: Frigga looks into the future and sees the potiental affect Darcy can have on LokiDarcy fidgeted nervously as the queen doted. It wasn’t that she disliked getting the royal tour or anything, but the whole situation was just weird. She’d expected that the queen would have been gushing all about her soon to be daughter and showing off magic photos of baby Thor or something while Darcy trailed behind or wondered around by herself. Instead she’d left Darcy’s boss and bff in one off the sciency areas for Thor to find eventually and Darcy had been escorted all over in royal fashion. Literally. What even.
They were currently in a bustling market, Frigga going on about the wonders of interplanetary trade and… ok, Darcy was eating it up despite the confusion over what exactly was going on. The colors and crowds and smells were mind boggling. As were all the different clothes. Most were vaugly familiar and Darcy’d figgured that meant Asgardian, but there were others that seemed so out of place. And… was that merchant a dwarf? Like a real flesh and blood Gimli?
“Ah! Loki!” Frigga halted and held out her hands to a man who seemed surprised to see them. And was familiar from tv cameras.
“Mother. What-”
“It’s fortunate you’re here,” Frigga said quickly. “I had wanted to show Darcy some of the wares from other realms, but it’s getting late and there is much to get done. Surely you wouldn’t mind?” She didn’t give time enough for Loki to even look properly startled. “Thank you. And be sure to take her to pick out fabrics for some proper dresses.” She leaned in to kiss the ex-invader-of-earth on the cheek and then disappeared into the crowds, leaving the two staring after her.
Darcy tugged a little self consciously at her sweater and looked up at the evil alien would be overlord. He looked from her to the stacks of books he’d been carrying. “So… You look better without the antlers and the army.”
