Fic title: This Little Light of Mine

neverending-shenanigans:

He had been determined not to like her. He was usually determined not to like people, and it was easy for him. He always prefered to be alone, and this smalltown in Maine offered the chance for him to hide in plain sight. He might be an infamous actor in a different country, but Americans did not exactly bingewatch Scandinavian TV.

He had been prepared to live a somewhat quiet life, if it wasn’t for the girl living next door. He had told his Assisstant back home to buy him a house – and she had ended up buying him half of one. Semi-detached buildings were one of the stupidest invention mankind had ever come up with, in his opinion.

And for the very fact that she dared to live next to him, he was determined to dislike her. He didn’t even need to see her for that. That was, until one evening, he heard her.

Loki froze in his tracks when a beautiful rendition of “Peer Gynt’s” Act I for the piano carried through the thin wall between their house-parts. Loki sat infront of his own door and listened with eyes closed for a good hour. He didn’t want to, but he found himself regretting when the first Act was over and the music didn’t continue.

Act II followed the same time the next day, and Loki found himself planning his days around the hour of music from next door. They were the only light moments in otherwise dark days.

And then one night, after an angry phone-call from his so-called brother lead to him emptying three bottles of wine on his own, Loki slipped a note through under the door. A request for a particular song. And a few minutes later, the girl next door delivered.

It was the start of something very strange, but also strangely magical.

The Future!Darcy Week ~ Day Two:

“Rituals”
and/or “Initiations”

@fuckyeahdarcylewis

Darcy and Jane have talked about it, and the future princess of
Asgard is definitely allowed to be steamed that her restored-to-grace fiancé
actually took over a decade to bring
her to his home planet for their wedding. Especially when you figure in the elaborate engagement rituals of the Asgardian royal court that they still have to go through… At this rate, Darcy’s afraid it’s going to be another decade before she and Loki are actually married!

Tasertricks AU

Darcy Ann Lewis runs a quiet little bookshop in a quiet little town where nothing exciting ever happens. Just about the only thrills she can get are between the pages of the books she sells. That is until a tall, handsome stranger with adventure glinting in his eyes strolls into her shop.

Loki Laufeyson has been relentlessly searching for a certain book and he’s tracked it to a tiny, dusty shop in a tiny, dusty town. It should have been a quick exchange with the pretty little bookseller. Cash for the text and then on to the next clue – but no. The irritatingly bubbly termagant swore she had no idea what he was talking about.

Now he’s stuck in Podunk, New Mexico sorting through her haphazard organization to find the book while trying to keep his eyes and hands off the delectable Miss Lewis.

That is until a second party comes to town searching for the same thing and threatening Darcy.

Loki is determined to find the prize the book is rumored to lead to and equally determined to keep Darcy safe. Can he do both, or will he have to sacrifice one in order to have the other?

Tasertricks – AU

Darcy Lewis wanted more out of life than waitressing at Uncle Joe’s Diner. The small, rundown eatery with its sad, plastic menus and cracked leather seats had certainly seen better days. So had “Uncle” Joe himself.

When everyone’s favorite grumpy owner dies from an unexpected heart attack, Darcy thinks this may be her chance to break away from Sea Dunes, the quiet coastal town where she grew up. But when Joe’s long lost nephew, Loki Laufeyson shows up with grand plans to turn Sea Dunes into a luxury resort town and demolish Uncle Joe’s, she’s ready for a showdown.

Loki may have grand plans, but Darcy has a love for Sea Dunes and everyone in it. There isn’t a chance in hell that she’ll let Loki, no matter how attracted to him she is, ruin her home.

Loki Laufeyson is shocked that Uncle Joe’s is still standing. More surprising is the vivacious Darcy Lewis who is willing to do just about anything to thwart his plans. Can he curb his attraction enough to see his plans through or will the spirited Darcy change everything?
