To the lovely writers out there who create beautiful works of art. So, I guess I will list some writers I read a lot.
1) @lokilickedme. If you like Loki, or Tom stories, this is your writer. Super amazing and her stuff is great. Like, her characterizations have ruined me. (Also she can write smut like no ones business. Seriously. Her work is better than most books I have read.)
2) @leftylain. If you haven’t read her work, do it. Her tasertricks makes me laugh/cry/scream with joy. And her winter shock is sweet/romantic/funny. Look her up. Do it! ( insert Shia LaBoeuf GIF here)
3) @anniemar. Okay, how can I put into words the impact of her stories on my life. I can’t because it is too impactful. So I will just tell you that she is amazing (Her story with Lefty is a masterpiece, read it. Or read Manic Taser Dream Girl. Because I re-read that all. The. Time.)
4) @awwheartno. Wow. Just wow. You are a fantastic writer and I had to put you on here because I retread you stuff all the time. I can’t help it. It is too good.

So I seen that the tasertricks fandom has a few people returning with a craving for that Loki flavour since Thor 3 started filming. Good. Welcome home.
I just thought I’d write up a nice little rec list for the fics that have been written in the last year or so, as you can’t always tell from the blurb what’s up. These are basically fics that I’ve read more than once, and generally more than that…some an embarrassing amount.
I’ll probably forget some and I’m sorry, my brain isn’t at its best at the moment, so please others feel free to add to this list!

Until the End of Eternity by @meleedamage is a great established realationship fic. Melee has a really unique voice and her Darcy is hilarious and there are always shenanigans happening. Go read all of her fics.

What We Have by @concavepatterns honestly we know Connie is a master at tasertricks. This little collection of muses is truly excellent storytelling. I want to highlight chapters iii and vi, the Wolves and Girls story-lines because it truly blew me away.
Hazards of Imagination by pinkfreud who is very very naughty and I love it. This fic very skillfully combines the sort of feeling of Agatha Christie with a little Gothic Romance and a lot of kink thrown in. It’s the first in a series and to be honest I’m enjoying the follow up fic even more if it’s possible.

(Darcy’s Much Needed) Distraction by @mischiefslady this is another fic by a tasertricks veteran that could be some stand alone one-shots but more is always good. Inspired by the behind the scenes Coriolanus video of Hiddleston working out she has given us a really really great mix of very sexy smut with just enough plot thrown in to make it really readable.
the art of boxes by littleredcardiganThis is a very promising ABO that could stand alone as a one-shot but I hope they continue. Alpha!Darcy, Omega!Loki what more can I say? it’s sweet and very sexy if that’s your thing.
long fics
This Is Gospel by smac89 this is the biggest rollercoaster I have ever read and I love her for it. It includes Goddess!Darcy with morally questionable!Loki and these two are always in trouble. If you want a fic that will take you up, down and back again this fic is it. Not angst so much as real human emotion explored maturely. They really have to earn their breakthroughs. This is the type of tasertricks that when they finally kiss you’re jumping out of your seat, or maybe collapse on the floor. Every time they so much as touch hands you’re squeeing.
I personally adore it because Darcy is young and makes mistakes and she really has to think about a lot of personal shit, as well as big picture, saving the world type shit. I think it’s handled really well.
Grievance by PeaceHeather look, this isn’t tasertricks, but I wanted to include it because she has done such amazing Loki history/world building. So no Darcy, but if you love kid!Loki, you’ll enjoy this one.
Loki of Midgard by sarelizanother Smart!Darcy with good!Loki fic. This treasure is a romp and a little ooc but in the way that one tiny detail was changed at the very beginning and so the fallout is completely different than the Thor movies and The Avengers that we know. Great world building, Politcal!Darcy, great Jane Foster characterisation, BAMF Frigga, Super, super fun.
Make Your Move by @concavepatterns this fic is a soulmate AU that is beloved around here. I think we were all a little heart broken when it finally ended. It involves a thousand and one adorable tasertricks tropes and I love it. I’m due for another read through of this one I think.
GeneHuntSyndrome is spectacular. Darcy and Loki are in a constant struggle for power and the unresolved sexual tension goes on for the first nine wonderful chapters before they finally give in and one of them gains power over the other. The tension, the sex, the heated arguments are all really well written. If you like a bit of kink, you’ll probably love this fic. If you like a solidly morally ambiguous Loki, you’ll like this fic. If you like bottom Loki, you will like this fic. If you like smut, you will love this fic. If you like UST you will adore this fic. if, like me, you struggle with romance this fic will make you cry. She’s good.
I also wanted to say that this is the perfect time to jump on board because the story has just taken a bit of a turn, so to read the first chunk now isn’t going to leave you tearing your hair out when you reach where we’re up to. GeneHuntSyndrome works a pretty busy job I think and fic like this is really difficult to carve out so updates aren’t regular but it’s totally worth waiting for, I promise you.
MrsBarnes_BAMF this fic involves a few tropes that have been mixed really well and I’ve been enjoying it immensley. The BAMF Agent!Darcy and the Innocent-ish Disney Prince!Loki (as in, pre-Thor with the bright clear eyes and gentlemanly behaviour) have been mixed brilliantly to give you a really dynamic story.
Lunchtime Drabbles by @yatzuaka: I feel like this wasn’t supposed to be quite as big a monster as it’s turned out. I’m honestly so impressed at the quality that she gets out in a lunch hour, which is the challenge that the title refers to. The earth-bound-Loki-in-Stark-Tower trope at its best. I’ve really been enjoying a nice and slow exploration of the emotions involved with these two oddballs.
And I Loathe You So by crazynoona (@soothsayerstale) Noona is always thoroughly amusing in her AUs. This one I have super enjoyed the beginning of and look forward to it panning out. It’s the I-loathe-you-so trope mixed with the fake relationship trope and honestly there’s not much you can do to make tasertricks better tbh.
Courtly Matters by artificial_inkis a Edwardian-esque AU that is really really well written, and very nearly completed. It combines elements of Jane Austin with Sophia Coppola’s Marie Antionette, or at least that’s what it evoked for me. I honestly loved it. Really great for a rainy day read with a cup of tea.
Mistakes_and_Experiments I’m putting this here in the hope that this hasn’t been abandoned. This is another Loki-is-kept-in-Stark-Tower trope that involves a lot of philosophy, political conversations and also crazy dreamscapes and interesting Loki-magic world building. I love this because Darcy is truly represented as her quirky self but totally competent as far as politics goes. I’m a slut for Smart!Darcy.
Icebergs by procrastinatoranother great rainy day AU, this one Victorian era. I don’t know what to say other then it’s awesome.
Saving the World Tonight by QueenoftheRealmEternal ugh. this fic is so enjoyable. I feel like she is my favourite voice for Darcy, which is a super hard pick, but that should tell you all you need to know. Darcy-goes-to-asgard-and-is-magically-linked-to-Loki trope at its best.
The Beginning of The End by lokishorcrux I thought this was finished but it seems she has a few more chapters in her. this is another super fun romp with naughty!Loki and very cheeky!Darcy who is in way over her head. She manages though, because she’d badass.

Disclaimer: I haven’t read a whole lot of Darcy/Loki that I’ve out and out LOVED. Either it’s waaaay to dark subject matter for my liking or Darcy is too vulgar or Loki is too nice right away. I’m pretty picky at this point.
A Morbid Taste for Ice by sitehound Summary: Stumbling face-first over the frozen body of a friend on the front porch, however, is more than even mostly unflappable Darcy can handle. The obvious suspect is her mentally unstable roommate (Loki). But despite all his other faults, Darcy is certain Loki isn’t the perpetrator. And not just because she’s starting for fall for him….
Why I Loved It: This is BY FAR my favorite of the fics I’ve read. It’s got perfect in character Loki and Darcy. It’s got slow burn. There’s angst that isn’t super angst-y. If I were to write a Tasertricks fic, it would be something like this. It has a mystery and a side of romance. I haven’t found a Tasertricks fic that has sucked me in as much as this one has. Also very sad that this writer hasn’t written more.
All the Time in the World (To Make You Mine) by concavepatterns Summary:After the events of New York Loki is angry and unapologetic, and a chance encounter with a young science intern on New Years Eve only leaves him more unbalanced. He is certain of one thing though: Darcy Lewis will be his
Why I Loved It: This is a shorter multi-chap fic, only five chapters. If it were a full fic, flushed out instead of breezing through the relationship development, then it would be HELLA! But still, it’s a truly breath-taking story. Again, a not super-fluff ball Loki. It’s mostly a Loki POV story too, which I really like. Definite smut if you enjoy that as well 😉
Why I Loved It: Every good rec list probably needs some fluff/crack. This one is it. Without being too fluffy or cracky. It’s a great friends to lovers series, without being so sweet it makes your tooth ache. Plus, features Jotun!Loki.
Not Without A Fight by concavepatterns Summary: (Post TDW) The human body was never designed to withstand the power of the Aether. Now Jane is dying and it’s up to Thor and Darcy to save her before time runs out. But when Darcy strikes up an unlikely deal with a certain presumed-dead trickster, it may be her own life that’s on the line.
Currently Reading: I’m still reading this one, on the second to last chapter. This is another fic that I would LOVE to be expanded and really flushed out to see more of the development of the relationship. I really do love slow burns. But it really is a good fic. And I like that it has a bit of plot, rather than being straight up romance. And OF COURSE, there is a bit in the middle where Loki becomes overly concerned for Darcy’s safety (much to his chagrin) and I’m always a sucker for the “damn-it-I-care-about-if-you-die-but-i-hate-that-i-care” trope 😉

* Blue Multi-Chapter Darcy is characterised very well in this fic. Featuring Jotun!Loki, this fic is filled with a lot of Loki angst and feels
Fjolnir One-shot Part of the Blue universe. Loki confronts Odin, ensuring lots of Father-Son feels. Ends on a very sweet note. Vivid descriptions.
Mistletoe (a blue Christmas) One-shot Part of the Blue universe. Sweet and fluffy. Read this during Christmas (or whenever because its always Christmas in our hearts)
Folkin’ Around verse by DemonQueen666 The entire series is one huge fic, going through Loki and Darcy building a friendship, to mutual crushes and FINALLY a relationship.
** Kill all the pretty lies Multi-chapter You have no idea, this fic is so well written and has amazing fanart illustrations of the chapters. Featuring fem!Loki and Darcy’s life outside of Jane’s sciencing. Very good read, I couldn’t put it down. Loki and Darcy friendship.
*Building a Playlist For a Friendship One-shot This fic features the complications and difficulties maintaining a friendship with Loki pertains. Accurate characterisation of both Loki and Darcy. Very realistic situation too.
* a burning in your heart One-shot Featuring brotherly feels between Thor and Loki. As usual, very well written. Characterisation for our Asgardian princes are spot on.
Shadow Puppets Multi-Chapter Loki and Steve develop a reluctant friendship after working together to get a boy. Seriously, this author gets her characters’ personalities on point.
* Ne’er Say We Die Multi-Chapter Inter-realm awesomeness and pirate fun. Features lots of Asgardian goodness. Darcy and Loki finally get romantically involved. Again, captivating and well written.
** We Are Our Own Folklore Multi-Chapter This fic is more Loki-centric and involves him shape-shifting to fem!Loki again in order to survive and get back to Darcy. I also have 3 words for you to convince you to read this: Pole dancing Loki.
High Priestess In Red One-shot This is not really tasertricks but its part of the series and VERY well written. The language description is just…… poetry basically. This fic is Wanda (comic Wanda)-centric and features Loki as a magic instructor.
The Tale Of Winter’s Daughter Multi-Chapter Again, not really focused on tasertricks but instead, their daughter. But still, a good read.
The Measure Of A God Multi-Chapter Natasha is educated in the happenings of sexytimes and Darcy goes to her with some questions. I thought this is a really cute discussion between 2 of my fav marvel girls.
Midgardians Are Easy Multi-Chapter (incomplete) Darcy’s inner monologue is really funny, but not inaccurate at all.
Fast Food by BuzzCat So basically Darcy takes Loki out to enjoy midgardian cuisine.
** The Blood-Dimmed Tide Multi-Chapter OK so OHMYGOD JUST GO READ THIS NOW. The writing is just amazing, its like reading art and the plot is sooo good and it really draws you in and just go read pls. Post-Avengers but realistic so the economy is down and everything is in ruins, Loki is a prisoner, Darcy somehow gets assigned to watch him. Mama Frigga is manipulative. Also, the butchering of Norse mythology but heh, Marvel does that anyway. Just so you know, this is VERY dark. Trigger warning for torture and sexual harassment/rape.
The Star-Filled Sky Multi-Chapter (incomplete) The sequel to TBDT. Personally, I feel that this fic is kinda slow and pales in comparison to the first one. The writing is still amazing but I find the plot too still. Also, I think this fic is even darker than the first if that is possible. Trigger warning for depression and cutting.
** With Pie PLEASE READ THIS ONE ITS REALLY REALLY GOOD. The plot is very simple, really, but its simplicity is astoundingly captivating and wonderful and there is so much cuteness and fluff. The fic goes from Loki being a little shit to Loki being Darcy’s best friend to eventually them being lovers. Also, pie fixes mental illness.
Burned Risotto and Failure Cookies idk. I think that this fic would have been better if simply left at the end of With Pie. This fic is more domestic and focuses on Darcy and Loki’s relationship on Midgard. Also, Loki is still a little shit to Thor.
Darcy, Loki and the Yarn Store by Hermaline75 All human AU. Interesting plot, well written text. Loki has lots of issues and lots of sex. This series can be summed up in 4 words: Bisexual Loki likes sex.
* The Cat Formerly Known As Prince by ibided Basically, Loki shapeshifted into a cat and manipulated his way into being Darcy’s pet. Also, ALMOST EVERY SINGLE PART IS REALLY FLUFFY with the exception of some which have Loki being a lil shit.
* Lokitty Chronicles by canterburyfic okok, I confess I may be biased towards all things Lokitty. But seriously, this series is really good!
That Darn Cat Multi-Chapter Really cute, kinda cracky, all in all very captivating. There is not a groundbreaking, million dollar plot to this fic but Loki(tty)’s interactions with Darcy and Avengers is enough to suck you in.
* Darcy cycle by Aria Holy mama Frigga, all I have to say is that this fic is a literal masterpiece. The writing alone makes me want to orgasm, ITS SO BEAUTIFUL its like the mona lisa was put into words no joke. The plot of this series itself is quite simple and follows Norse mythology but its the writing style that makes this truly magical.
In Which Nobody Is Normal Because Normal Is Boring by IffyJr1512 Not really tasertricks, even though tasertricks IS involved. Told from Bruce’s point of view, this fic features cute Avengers shenanigans that Bruce pays witness to daily. I love this fic because of the writing style which is unique and these headcanons are truly adorable.
** The Subconscious Speaks Volumes by daxcat79 Ok so this fic is really good and well written. The plot is gets quite personal with our fav characters and contains lots of interesting twists. 1 word: inception.
* Black Ice by of_raven_wings Also the author of the series Turning and Turning, this author HAS SOME SERIOUSLY WICKED WRITING SKILLS. I can’t even with the intense descriptions that are so vivid and so poetic. Porn with plot, this fic is really amazing. Its very gentle and intimate.
Magic for Beginners by Vera (Vera_DragonMuse) All human AU. This fic has a very captivating plot and comprehensible text. Loki is a magician and Darcy somehow becomes his assistant. Go read it, seriously.
** In the Service of Liars and Killers by MildredJosephine YOU HAVE TO READ THIS FIC OK. Taking place during the Avengers, Loki basically mind-controls Darcy into minionhood and he slowly falls for her. The plot is so well thought out and amazing I love this fic so much.
* Three Days by mischiefgoddesscomplex Go and read this now. Its very smutty, very sweet and very well written. The plot is not OHMYGOD CALL A MOVIE PRODUCER, in fact, its quite simple. Its the descriptive writing that really makes this fic stellar.
** Utter Darkness by ElegantMess This is no joke, after I read this, I felt like I had been reborn. THIS FIC CAN HAVE MY CHILDREN. A wonderful combination of angst, smut and hurt/comfort, this fic is superb. The plot is engrossing and riddled with plot twists and the writing is beautifully colourful. Warning for pervy Loki, torture and feels.
Daily Disasters by concavepatterns Lots of snark, lots of sexual tension, lots of hilarious Darcy internal monologue. This fic is really good and features some hot sexytime.
** Shine Without Fear by Yavannie Go read this now. Its really amazing and the plot pulls many Quicksilvers (you did not see that coming?) . This fic is told from several different points of view as our Avengers get separated. This is so well written and ridiculously original, I really love this fic so much.
** Not Without A Fight by concavepatterns Is it possible to marry fanfiction? Cos that is what I want to do whenever I read this. Loki is a little shit, Darcy is a dedicated friend and Jane is well… dying. This takes place during TDW and is basically how I was praying the movie would go.
Little Visits by concavepatterns ok guys, really. see this person ^ here is repeated several times throughout this list because really, she’s a hella good writer. just read everything she write’s and you’re good. This fic is FRIGGIN BANANABALLS and I find really cute.
** A Morbid Taste For Ice by sitehound THIS IS ONE OF THE FICS THAT GOT ME SHIPPING TASERTRICKS!!! It is legit so amazing and the plot is so organised and Loki is a lil shit but he’s also kinda sad cos reasons I will not give away JUST READ IT! This fic is like a murder mystery crossed with fantasy featuring OTP meaning PERFECTION.
** Captivated by leftylain Fun fact: did you know that if you use the filter on the side of the AO3 webpage and use kudos as the form of organisation, THIS FIC BECOMES THE FIRST BECAUSE IT IS THE MOST KUDOS-ED TASERTRICKS FIC ON AO3?! I think that speaks for itself. Go read this. Also, pre-Thor Prince Loki :)))
* Manic Taser Dream Girl by anniemar Post TDW featuring agent Darcy and fluff and smut and crack and I cannot with this fic just read please.
The Devil Wears Armani by crazynoona All human AU where Loki is Darcy’s hot sexy drool-worthy boss. There is a lot of hot smut in this. Very well written smut may I add. There are traces of plot.
* Blame it on the Vodka by dhauren Extremely very amazingly well written. Has lots of feels and Loki snark. Great humor and a unique plot. Go read this please.
** The Flip Side by paynesgrey OK WOW so this fic has such an amazing plot that is totally one of a kind, praise this author’s brain!!! Daddy Odin sucks, Loki is a mean shit even without a body and Darcy is the poor victim caught in the middle of it all. This is superbly written. Both Darcy and Loki’s internal monologues are spot on in character. MUST READ. Warning for torture and outrage of modesty(???) well if you possess someone’s body, it technically is an outrage of modesty and more i’m sure
Magnificent Incomplete Multi-Chapters: note: I will not review/rate these because they’re not completed yet but yeah, join me in painful wait for updates
* The Talk by Joanacchi Crack + Smut This is more between Thor and Loki. This is absolutely hilarious honestly. Thor asks Loki how to pleasure Jane properly. Loki demonstrates with a Darcy clone.
Tight Spaces by concavepatterns Smut Loki and Darcy get stuck in an elevator together. Things escalate (and i’m not talking about the elevator, that thing aint movin)

** Inn Mistaka by LadyCharliEM THIS IS NOT ACTUALLY A SHORT ONE-SHOT ITS A REALLY GOOD LONG STORY THAT IS SIMPLY AMAZING AND YOU HAVE TO READ IT. THIS IS UNDER ONE-SHOTS BECAUSE THE AUTHOR POSTED THE ENTIRE FIC IN ONE CHAPTER THUS IT QUALIFIES AS A ONE-SHOT.
** 23 Skidoo by SilverRumRunner THIS IS AMAZING I LOVE THIS GO READ! THIS LITERALLY COULD HAVE BEEN A DELETED SCENE FROM THOR TDW. (meaning, my brain has accepted this as headcanon)
Under Ether by Lunik Wonderful, hilarious crack. So Darcy is babysitting a Loki doped on drugs. That’s it. That’s the plot. (and I love it)
To: Frosty by vindiya Fluff galore. An absotootly adorable fic that is a must read during Christmas time.
* Run Softly, For I Speak Not Loud or Long by Allecto & blackbird ok so someone actually recommended this to me and it is really amazing. Its a full blown story too and is very sweet. There is a sort of reference to the comics/mythology in the sense that Loki gets his mouth sown shut. Smut, hurt/comfort, fluff.
Definitely Not Human by LokiOfSassgaard Crackish Smut. Very, very awkward sex. Loki makes a fool of himself as Jotun sex has some… unexpected happenings.
Echo by ohmyloki Ends on a very sweet note. This features in-the-process-of-trying-to-be-redeemed!Loki.
Of Pranks and Switching Bodies by MyNameIsDarcyLewis Crack. So much crack. Basically our Hiddlestoner joke about Tom’s seemingly never ending legs and Tasertricks pull a Freaky Friday. Also, Loki is a sappy romantic.
** And Then Shawarma by SilverRumRunner Fluff + Crack. This fic is a very much realistic way Tasertricks could possibly meet. Marvel should literally do a one-shot after this one-shot no joke. (AHEM AHEM HINT HINT MARVEL PLEASE) Immediate post-Avengers, the team eats Shawarma and Darcy babysits the megalomaniacal Norse god.

I Find the Silence Bearable With You by spikewriter This is amazing, beautiful, if slightly angsty, fluff. Its so well written and just wow. This fic explores each character’s own depths to their own extent. Wonderful Thor and Loki relationship dynamics and mouth foaming tasertricks budding friendship.
