loki/Darcy he is always asking her out and she thinks it is a joke every time and he is starting to get annoyed and snaps

mischiefgoddesscomplex:

The first time he asks they are both in the heat of battle in the middle of New York City, fighting alongside the Avengers against the latest threat to the city. A rather large explosion goes off nearby, and Darcy finds herself crouched besides Loki, taking cover behind a car with her trusty taser in hand. She is panting, out of breath, and she looks up to see Loki perfectly composed but for a bead of sweat that rolls down his forehead. Another explosion goes off, this time right next to them, and it shakes the ground they are kneeling on.

“Oh, fuck me,” Darcy swears, her eyes wide with exasperation.

"Let me at least take you out to dinner first,” Loki proposes without missing a beat, and it takes Darcy a second before she realizes what he meant. She pulls a face as if to say “really?” and Loki winks at her before darting off to help finish the battle.

She sits behind that car longer than she should have, wondering if there was any substance to the comment he had made. Was it a joke? He’s never said anything like it before, and she figures it must be. Still, her mind wanders inappropriately to the scenario that had been suggested before she quickly snaps out of it…this is neither the time nor place.

She’s reading a book curled up on the couch in the Avenger’s Tower the second time he asks. He sits on the other side of the room, casually flipping through television channels on Stark’s massive high definition screen.

“Plans tonight?”

“Nope.”

“Let me buy you dinner at the most extravagant restaurant in town.”

“Ha.”

He lets it go with a slightly annoyed shrug, turning his attention back to the tv screen.  Clearly he must be joking again. When Darcy is sure he isn’t looking, she looks up and steals a glance at him. Just to judge his reaction. Certainly not to check him out or anything. Definitely not, she tells herself, as her eyes wander from his face down his lean, muscle-y arms.

She comes home crying a few days later, her cheeks stained with tears as she tries not to wake anyone in my middle of the night. She crawls on top of her bed, smushing her face into a pillow when she hears her door open with a tiny squeak.

“Are you alright?” He asks, coming to sit down on the edge of her bed.

Darcy pushes herself up with a deep sigh, steadying her breathing as she comes to sit by him, “Just boys being stupid. What else is new.”

“Did he hurt you?” Loki asks, his voice serious, “Tell me who he is, I swear he’ll never see the light of day again.”

“Lokes, calm down,” Darcy laughs quietly, placing a hand on his arm to steady him, “It was just a blind-date my friend had set me up on. Let’s just say the night ended with the guy making out with my friend, not me. I just feel stupid for even trying.”

“You shouldn’t ever feel stupid,” Loki says softly, reaching up and brushing a loose tear from her cheek, “Any man would be lucky to have you. I would have you right here if I could.”

The energy in the room changes as he finishes his sentence, and for some reason she feels like he is sitting a little too close for this to be a joke. Darcy can feel the heat rising in her cheeks, but she brushes off his suggestion with a playful shove, “Yeah, right.”

“You don’t think I’m serious?” Loki asks, and Darcy can hear a little bit of the hurt creep into his voice. Oh.

He leans down slightly, angling his head so that his lips hover over hers. Her breathing catches in her throat, and before she has a chance to wonder if this is actually happening, his lips press ever so softly against hers. The contact is all she needs to know that this is definitely not a joke.

She kisses him back, wrapping her arms around his neck and wondering why they haven’t done this sooner. He pushes her back down, pinning her to the mattress as he bites down on her lower lip, encouraging her to open her mouth. She moans as he writhes against her while simultaneously sliding his tongue into her mouth, and she can’t help but admire the delicious way he tastes of wintergreen gum. She greedily responds in kind, arching her back to create greater friction against their bodies as they continue to makeout on the bed.

Fuck me,” Darcy whines, her voice ragged as she breaks the kiss.

Loki delivers one long, passionate kiss before he pulls back, gazing into Darcy’s deep blue eyes. She’s breathing heavily, urging him to meet her mouth with his once more, but he only smiles as he pushes himself off the bed.

“Where are you going?” Darcy asks, looking over to him with confusion.

Loki stops with one hand on the door frame, looking back at her sprawled wildly on the bed. He smiles, and it is dark and seductive and her stomach does a flip at the sight.

“I believe I promised to take you out to dinner first, darling.”
