I know this is pretty early but I want to make sure everyone gets a chance to sign up!

I did this last year and it worked out relatively well, with some hiccups. Secret Santas are your standard, make/write/etc a gift, receive a gift. But not everyone is up to making gifts, for whatever reason and THAT’S OKAY! 8D 

The options:

Secret Santa:

You will be assigned a Tasertot to make a gift for and (optionally/recommended) even send nice, anonymous messages to them. Please make sure to keep yourselves anonymous or that defeats the purpose of this! You can also ask your Tasertot if they have any further preferences, maybe you’re unsure whether they like something and wish to make sure as it’s not answered on their sign up. Also make sure to sign “from your Tasertot Santa” or something to identify that you’re their Santa. Make sure you make your blog open to anon asks!

The types of presents you can give/receive:

• Fanfiction. (Short story, drabbles, longer fic, lyrics.*)
• Fan art.
• Graphics.
• Videos.
• Physical gift.**
• Other? Feel free to specify! I’ve just listed what came to mind.

*Please specify if you’re open/can do all or some.

**This will depend entirely on whether people are open to sharing their address and receiving something!

Secret Elf:

Santa’s little Elves are, for whatever reason, unable to take part in the gift exchange and thus, instead, have the wonderful job of spreading Christmas joy! Send your Tasertot messages of joy, motivation, kindness, whatever! Heck, if you can, send them cute little imagines of Tasertricks. Like, “Imagine Darcy taking Loki to Disneyland and showing him his first theme park.”  Maybe it will bring out a cute little discourse between you, discussing these wonderful ideas. Of course, it must be kept anonymous on the Secret Elf’s part! 

Make sure you make your blog open to anon asks!

There’s also the scenario that you might see a Secret Santa trying to come up with ideas for their gift. Maybe you could go along there and help them! Give them inspiration. 

Santas and Elves:

You each get your own Tasertot, to gift or send messages to. However, you’re not restricted to sending messages to just that Tot, you’re more than welcome to go and spread joy to anyone. Make sure not to tell anyone who your secret Tasertot is!

I’ve kept the liked/disliked themes in for Elves too, because maybe there are certain things they don’t wish to see in their ask boxes!

URL/Name: Url and name/alias here.

Santa/Elf?: Which one do YOU want to be? Remember that Santas give/receive gifts, Elves give/receive messages (though Santas can send messages too).

Speciality: What YOU can do. Can you write (specify the type, eg. Longer fic, short fic, lyrics, drabbles, etc), draw, something else? Please name ALL the ones you can and are willing to do!  N/A if you’re an Elf!

Preferred gift type: What would you want for your gift? Please specify all possible wants. Fanfiction (specific type ie. Longer, shorter, drabbles, lyrics), fanart, videos, etc.  N/A if you’re an Elf!

Liked themes: Just write here themes and things you like. Things like if you like certain kinds of AUs, clichés, angst/fluff, whatever. Do you mind smut? For Elves: there may be a chance that your Elf will send you imagines or something, if there is something you’d like to say here, here is the place. If not, N/A it!  

Undesirable: Let’s face it, there are things we see in fics we don’t like. This is here to reduce that, hopefully! Background pairings you dislike? Themes you dislike? AUs you don’t like? Basically anything you don’t wanna see. For Elves: there may be a chance that your Elf will send you imagines or something, if there is something you’d like to say here, here is the place. If not, N/A it!  

Open to physical gift: Yes/no. (If you say yes, this will mean giving your home address to your Santa for them to send a gift. 

Open to creating an emergency gift: Yes/no. (I am hoping this one won’t be necessary, but sometimes we end up with people not coming through for their receiver and if anyone’s open to stepping in and giving them a gift instead despite not receiving another gift themselves, then please put yes here!)

Also note that if we do get anyone interested in sending a physical gift, the gifter will reveal themselves on the deadline of the revelations/gift giving and they will ask you for your address then. 

Sign up deadline: 2nd December, 2017.

On the 3rd December I will sort out the pairs and get you your tasertots asap!

 If I do end up having any technical problems or otherwise, I will keep you informed! The gifting deadline will probably be on the 1st January like last year. 

I really hope we don’t need to have anyone making an emergency gift; I actually can’t remember if everyone got their gifts last year, but I’m putting that option in just in case.

All things to do with this will and need to be tagged #TTSS17.

Preferably submit your applications to my ask box rather than an ask as asks don’t like paragraph breaks (I think?). Make sure your ask boxes are open to people outside your follower lists and anon is switched on. Oh and submit is switched on.

I hope everyone had a good time with this and that everyone received their presents/has been notified of any delays!

Some people had trouble receiving asks, so that caused some problems. 

I will try and work out an alternative for next time; I will likely be doing a Valentine’s exchange too.

SO send me your feedback (positive, negative, whatever works!), you can do it anonymously if you don’t feel comfortable. And if people haven’t received their gifts yet, we’ll give it a little more time and if by the 8th Jan you haven’t received your gift or a message to say that it’s on the way/there’s been delays, please let me know. It’s so that I can find out what’s going on. But please let your tasertots know about delays!

yes to ALL of this. I love that loki wouldn’t even take issue
with the ugly christmas sweater thing… it’s cool, he’s got a sense of humour (and a sense of fashion, but he’s good, really, he can wear that sweater… ironically… he can be Fun like these
weird aesthetically-challenged earthlings) and apparently “ornamentary, my dear
watt-son” is some huge inside joke on Midgard. it’s not even the cheap battery-powered
lights sewn along the hem. (even if it is tacky and loki’s charm-work is so
much more elegant)

a red sweater, though?
no, see, that crosses a line. that’s thor’s colour and… loki is not wearing that, never ever. ever. ever.

loki has to get rid of this sweater, like, yesterday.

he imagines various graphic yarn-filled deaths. maybe he could accidentally
set the thing on fire (“standing too close to the stove, couldn’t possibly be
helped”) or taunt the cat with it in the hopes that it’ll get ripped to shreds.

all to no avail, though. loki is left posing for a christmas card
next to a very smug-looking darcy

(he doesn’t exactly make an effort to hide
his discontent, but his mood improves significantly when the possessive lil ass
sees that darcy is wearing green… “because
it looks good on me” and yes, yes it does…)

shit I love this so much bc you also just know that loki will STILL try to find some kind of rebuttal. darcy entertains him only because it’s impossible to regain the high ground when you literally faked your own death like you’re living in a shakespeare play, and loki is, frankly, embarrassing himself.

ohmygod yes to all of this. darcy getting mad at loki every time he tries to coordinate the decorations to a strictly green and gold colour scheme, and loki plotting how to destroy the collection of terrifyingly badly painted nutcrackers that darcy keeps buying ‘as a joke’ because they’re messing with his carefully constructed Look.

also darcy inevitably getting tangled up in a string of fairy lights at some point and loki laughing at her for a solid minute until she tells to stop being so damn smug and he leans down and kisses her before magicking the lights onto the already overburdened tree. there might be a crashing sound, but… they’re distracted (◕‿◕✿) *whispers* christmas sexy times
